30" × 40" | Acrylic, oil, and natural materials on canvas
Sometimes the sky does something so extraordinary that you have no choice but to stop and look. Colors appear that seem almost impossible. Pale pink, butter yellow, lavender, and blue all occupying the same stretch of evening.
Vanilla Sky is about the simple act of noticing. The way an ordinary evening can become magnificent if you happen to look up at the right moment.
Created with acrylic, oil, and natural materials gathered along California's Central Coast, the painting is a small argument for paying attention. There is wonder everywhere, if we remember to look.
